New Brighton Primary School

Classrooms and corridors have been relatively quiet at New Brighton Primary School this half term as children and staff have been making the most of learning opportunities outside of the classroom environment!
The Nursery class have been spending time in Vale Park to acquire a hands-on understanding of the changes that come with a new season and the Foundation 2 classes took part in The National Youth Film Festival at The Light Cinema. They watched the classic fairy tale ‘Cinderella’ and are now using their knowledge of the story to develop their storytelling and language skills.
In Key Stage 1 the children have been enjoying a variety of school trips to provide a stimulus for their topic work. They visited Weaver Hall as part of their work on the Great Fire of London and had a great time exploring both the Maritime Museum and the Museum of Liverpool as part of their ‘Pirates Lost at Sea’ geography topic.
