This March we launched our new season brochure for May to August 2015. We’ve got some brilliant shows in this season and we hope you’ll find something to come and see. Pop in to collect your copy or download from our website.
We also wanted to let you know whats on this March. We are looking forward to THE BUSINESS OF MURDER  which will be with us from 23rd to 25th March. Middle Ground Theatre Company present Richard Harris’ acclaimed psychological thriller The Business of Murder, which enjoyed a successful 9-year run in the West End.

Stone, a humourless and dour man, invites Dee a television playwright, over to his flat on the premise of discussing a script. Once there, she is surprised when superintendent Hallett, the man with whom she is having an affair, also arrives for an entirely different reason.

But nothing is as it seems, and as the plot twists and truns the motive of their host Stone gradually becomes clear. They are all, it would seem, in the same business… The Business of Murder.

The Gorse Millennium Green

The Gorse is a piece of land adjacent to the Water Tower in New Brighton originally owned by North West Water. In 1995 they declared the land surplus to requirements and put it up for sale for building.

Local community members set up the Save the Gorse campaign and, over a period of 5 years we collected money, applied for funding and negotiated with North West Water – now United Utilities – to purchase the land for the New Brighton community and to develop it as a pocket Park.

We became a charity – reg no 1071166 – with 7 trustees who maintain the Park on behalf of the community. The Trust has a membership with a small membership fee amongst the community. This helps to cover general running costs.

With the help of Groundwork Wirral the Gorse was developed as a park and opened to the public in May 2000.

Now the Gorse is in need of a facelift and United Utilities, supported by Groundwork Cheshire, are going to do some essential work on the Gorse beginning on Monday 9th March.

We need your help as the Public Liability Insurance is due in March and the Trust has no funding of our own at the moment and we need to play our part in this important development.
