What can the Internet do for you? The possibilities will soon be endless at New Brighton Community Centre.

New Brighton community centre in Hope Street is to become a UK online centre which is part of the Government's efforts to give as many local residents in the New Brighton area free access to computers and the Internet. The successful bid for a UKonline Centre which will have an open access policy will transform the Community Centre and more importantly it will offer services to people who have limited or no access to skills in using new technologies.

"We aim to provide the residents of New Brighton with a local drop-in centre that will have free access to computers & the Internet, and which will compliment the existing facilities in the area at Vale House Community Centre"

It is envisaged that the building works which include an extension, a lift and a brand new seminar area with state of the art presentational facilities which will be available to local organisations and groups, should be completed by late summer. The Centre will also be able to offer enhanced facilities which will open up a wider range of Community activities than were previously available.
