THE CAMPAIGN TO EXTEND A CROSS RIVER BUS ROUTE TO THE FLORAL PAVILION

Much support has gathered for the re-establishment of a regular and reliable service (shore-side) to Liverpool, and a connecting service to other Wirral routes for the following reasons:-
  • For the residents: the provision of easier access and a relatively safer route to and from their homes , especially during bad weather and hours of darkness; as a means to prevent further congestion and overflow parking on the pavement areas ( creating pedestrian/ road safety hazards and sometimes parking hostilities!) during holiday times and spectator events.
  • For the Visitor: to be unfettered by driving and parking problems - best of all to have the freedom to relax and enjoy the variety of Cafes, Bars, Theatre, entertainment and recreation in the original resort area.
  • For the Hospitality Businesses: ( apart from the proposed development plan) to revitalise customer demand to create positive equity and a feeling of optimism and hope for the future in this transport-forgotten area.
