April brings to the Floral Pavilion two very large scale shows that really should not be missed

Buddy is the world’s most successful rock ‘n’ roll musical which is a great night out and George’s Marvellous Medicine is a brand new adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s funniest and most exciting stories perfect for keeping the little ones entertained!

We also have the chance to see legendary Des O’Connor and an amazing night of music with the Bon Jovi Experience as well as the ultimate adult musical – Naughty Knicker Knight – a story of sex, drugs and sausage rolls!

A phenomenally multi-talented cast come together to tell Buddy Holly’s story, from his meteoric rise to fame, to his final legendary performance at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Together the present two terrific hours of his greatest hits, including the timeless classics That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, Rave One, Everyday and many more. With the Big Bopper’s Chantilly Lace and Ritchie Valens’ La Bamba completing a stellar musical line-up, Buddy is a not-to-be-missed evening of family entertainment that will have music lovers from 8 to 80 toe-tapping, hand-clapping and rocking in the aisles!

George’s Marvellous Medicine

The Birmingham Stage Company (Horrible History and Horrible Science) is bank on tour with a brand new adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s funniest and most exciting stories. George makes a marvellous new medicine to cure his grandmother of her terrifying temper, but when his grandmother drinks his special new potion the most incredible things tart to happen. If you’re looking for fizztickling fun and wizzpopping magic for all the family, then don’t miss George’s Marvellous Medicine.

Des O’Connor World-class star, television personality and entertainer Des O’Connor has starred in a mainstream TV show in almost every year since 1963, as well as notching up four top 10 singles and over 1,000 solo appearances at the London Palladium. In his show, Des will be singing all of your favourites and chucking in a few jokes as well. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a true showbusiness legend live on stage in this wonderful evening of comedy, music and laughter.

Naughty Knicker Knight Lynda Cairns thinks she lives a normal life, financially supporting her ex-doorman Dick and his ASBO-ridden sons Ronnie and Reggie. As she plods along in her less than perfect world she discovers that having a naughty knicker night with her mates reveals more than thongs, pongs and a mother that accidentally gets changed! After the great success of Twisted Angels, local playwright Paula Rowlands along with Corrie Starr bring the premiere of this ultimate adult musical – Naughty Knicker Knight – a story of sex, drugs and sausage rolls!

The Bon Jovi Experience Formed in 1983, American rock band Bon Jovi have gone on to sell over 120 million records and we ranked number 14 in Q Magazine’s 50 Greatest Bands Of All Time. Recreating Bon Jovi live in concert, outstanding tribute The Bon Jovi Experience perform all the great hits including Livin’ On A Prayer, Keep The Faith and You Give Love A Band Name.
